FINDING HELP IN YOUR AREA:

Advocates in prosecutors’ offices and community-based organizations are available to help crime victims with information, referral, and assistance. Find a victim service provider in your area, search the Victim Service Provider Directory.

CRIME VICTIM RIGHTS:

Crime victims in Minnesota have rights: Crime Victim Rights

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

Minnesota Crime Victim Reparations: Victims of violent crime can file a claim for reparations to cover expenses related to the crime.

Emergency Fund:  Local organizations distribute funds in small amounts to crime victims to cover emergency expenses related to the crime.

COMPLAINTS BY CRIME VICTIMS:

Victims who feel that their rights have been violated or that they have been mistreated by a member of the criminal justice system can contact the Crime Victim Justice Unit.
